What this is NOT

  • A guide to quit technology and move to the woods
  • A wellness lecture about "being present"
  • Vague advice you've already heard a hundred times
  • For people who want to feel good about reading without changing

What this IS

  • A working plan you do on your real phone, in real time
  • Specific steps for both iPhone and Android, every day
  • Built from real experience — not theory, not platitudes
  • Designed to feel different by Day 4. Permanent by Day 7.

Seven days. One focus at a time.

Each day is built around three parts: the why, the technical audit, and a behavioral reset. About 30–60 minutes a day. No app overload, no shame, no fluff.

Day 01
The Honest Audit
Pull your real numbers. See what you're actually doing — without flinching.
Day 02
The Notification Massacre
Take back your nervous system. Only humans get to interrupt you.
Day 03
The App Purge
Sort, delete, downgrade. The four-bucket method that actually works.
Day 04
The Home Screen Rebuild
Design friction back into the apps you can't quit. Including grayscale.
Day 05
The Digital Decluttering
Photos, files, inbox bankruptcy, dead accounts. Clear the invisible weight.
Day 06
The Habit Replacement
Fill the void on purpose, before it fills itself with something worse.
Day 07
The New Operating System
Write the rules that survive Monday. Plus a built-in relapse protocol.

Designed like a tool, not a textbook.

01

Daily checklists

Every day ends with a specific, binary checklist. No ambiguity about whether you did the work.

02

iOS & Android steps

Exact menu paths for both platforms — not generic advice that assumes you know where to look.

03

Quick-reference toolkit

A 60-second daily check-in, emergency interventions, and the few apps actually worth keeping.

04

Habit replacement guide

Specific replacements mapped to each underlying need — boredom, anxiety, loneliness, avoidance.

05

Personal phone constitution

A 10-rule template you customize on Day 7. The thing that makes the change permanent.

06

Built-in relapse protocol

Because you'll slip. A pre-written 4-step move that pulls you back without shame.

You don't need another article telling you screens are bad. You need a plan — one that respects your time and actually changes how you feel by the end of the week.

— From the introduction

Things you're probably wondering.

Do I really have to do it in seven consecutive days?

Ideally yes — momentum matters and each day builds on the last. But if life happens, doing it across 10–12 days still works. Don't stretch it past two weeks though. The energy gets lost.

I've tried digital detoxes before and failed. Why is this different?

Most detoxes focus on removing things. This one focuses equally on what fills the gap, which is where 90% of relapses happen. Day 6 (Habit Replacement) and Day 7 (Relapse Protocol) are the parts other guides skip.

Will I have to give up social media completely?

No. The guide doesn't tell you what to delete — it gives you a framework for deciding. Plenty of people finish the week with Instagram still on their phone, just relocated and rate-limited. The point is intentionality, not absence.

Is this for iPhone or Android?

Both. Every technical step has explicit iOS and Android instructions, including exact menu paths, so you don't have to translate generic advice for your device.

How is the PDF delivered?

Instant download via Gumroad after payment. You can read it on any device — phone, tablet, e-reader, laptop — or print it out (some people do this for the checklists).

Refund policy?

If you do the work and it doesn't change anything for you, email and you'll get a full refund within 30 days. No interrogation. The only ask is that you actually tried the steps.
